New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) announced that it obliterated a terrorist launchpad located in Sialkot, Pakistan. This development occurs during a period when India and Pakistan have been exchanging gunfire since yesterday evening. On Friday evening, Pakistan initiated drone strikes, which intensified into missile and aircraft assaults throughout northern and western India. It is believed that a ballistic missile, which was intercepted, was aimed at Delhi.

In retaliation, India targeted at least three airbases in Pakistan. In a statement released on Saturday morning, the BSF reported that following unprovoked cross-border firing from Pakistan at BSF positions in the Jammu region around 9 pm on Friday, the BSF retaliated and obliterated a terrorist launchpad on the other side of the border.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has utterly obliterated the terrorist launch site at Looni in Sialkot, Pakistan. On 9 May 2025, starting around 9:00 pm, Pakistan began unprovoked shelling of BSF positions in the Jammu Sector.

According to an official statement, the BSF reacted proportionately, resulting in significant destruction to the Pakistan Rangers' posts and resources along the International Boundary. The BSF completely destroyed the terrorist launch pad in Looni, District Sialkot, facing the Akhnoor area.

Previously, the Indian Army targeted and dismantled Pakistani positions and terrorist launch sites following foiled drone attacks on India on May 9-10. These posts were reportedly involved in employing tube-launched drones to target Indian cities. Internet videos showed smoke rising from the damaged launch pads.

On Saturday morning, the Indian military carried out assaults on a minimum of four airbases in Pakistan, escalating the already heightened tensions following Pakistan's targeting of 26 locations across India. Ongoing gunfire continues along the Line of Control (LoC), and a drone explosion in Jalandhar, Punjab, damaged a home. The Defence Ministry reported sightings of drones at 26 locations along the International Border and LoC, including armed drones.

Unfortunately, a drone attack in Ferozpur resulted in injuries to residents. Individuals living in border regions are advised to stay indoors and follow safety measures. Additionally, on May 7-8, Indian forces effectively repelled a coordinated drone and missile assault on military installations. The situation remains unstable following India's previous targeted strikes on terrorist installations in Pakistan.
