India’s Largest Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal Opened In Gurugram
Speaking on the occasion, Saini said that the terminal will not only transport vehicles manufactured at the Manesar and Gurugram plants to 17 hubs and 380 cities across India, but also export vehicles to ports such as Pipavav and Mundra - thereby directly integrating Haryana into the global supply chain.

Chandigarh: Chief minister Nayab Saini, along with Union minister for railways, information and broadcasting and electronics and information technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday inaugurated the country’s largest automobile Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Manesar, Gurugram.
Speaking on the occasion, Saini said that the terminal will not only transport vehicles manufactured at the Manesar and Gurugram plants to 17 hubs and 380 cities across India, but also export vehicles to ports such as Pipavav and Mundra - thereby directly integrating Haryana into the global supply chain.

Addressing the gathering, Vaishnaw highlighted the transformation Indian Railways has undergone over the past decade. He said that before 2014, the Railways' annual budget hovered around Rs. 24,000–25,000 crore, whereas now, it has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
The railway minister also shared plans to modernise the rail factory in Sonepat, with work to begin soon.
