Hyderabad: In a shocking incident from Telangana, Hyderabad police uncovered a live-streaming pornography racket run by a couple from Amberpet. Operating under the alias 'Sweety Telugu Couple 2027,' the duo had been broadcasting their sexual activities online and soliciting payments in exchange for private links to explicit videos.

The couple had been running this operation for the past four months. They promoted their videos on social media platforms, offering nude and sexual content to viewers for a fee ranging from Rs 500-2,000. According to a report by Telugu news portal, Sakshi.com, one of their promotional messages reportedly read: “Hi friends, want our nude videos? Pay on the number shown here and we’ll send you the link.” Such messages, along with sexually explicit content, had gone viral across social media.

Studio-Like Setup Found After Raid

The racket came to light after the police received inputs about the couple’s illegal activities. Acting on the tip-off, the East Zone Task Force raided their residence in Amberpet. During the search, police discovered that the couple had turned part of their home into a studio-like setup. Curtains had been arranged for a makeshift backdrop and cameras, streaming equipment and mobile phones used for the broadcasts were seized.

The couple reportedly confessed to operating the adult content business, stating that they had been earning hefty money by sharing private links with paying customers. Their content included a mix of nude videos and live sex acts streamed through encrypted or private channels.

Accused Couple Booked Under IT Act

After taking the couple into custody, the Task Force handed them over to Amberpet Police for further action. A case was registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, which deals with the distribution of obscene material online. Officials stated that the accused will be interrogated further to determine if others are involved in the operation or if the content had been shared on international platforms.
