Holi Celebration Turns Deadly: 3 Killed In Bengaluru After Fight Over Inappropriate Comment On Woman

Bengaluru: Holi celebrations took a violent turn in Bengaluru’s Anekal suburb, where a drunken brawl among labourers from Bihar resulted in the deaths of three men.
The deadly altercation occurred at an under-construction building in Anekal, where six labourers, all from the same Bihar village, were celebrating Holi. The fight reportedly began over inappropriate comments made about a woman, reported NDTV. The argument escalated into physical violence, with the men using wooden sticks and iron rods to attack each other.
All 3 Bodies Found At Different Locations
All three victims were found lying in pools of blood at different locations within the building. One body was discovered in the apartment passage, another inside a room and the third outside the building.
The deceased have been identified as Ansu (22) and Radhe Shyam (23), while the identity of the third victim remains unknown, according to the report. One injured person has been taken into custody, and authorities are searching for the remaining two suspects.
Police officials suspect that the incident was fueled by heavy alcohol consumption. Investigations are underway to determine the exact sequence of events.
Mumbai Man Arrested For Assaulting Minor During Holi Celebrations
In a separate incident in Mumbai’s Bandra East, a man was arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl during Holi celebrations. The accused, a worker employed by the complainant’s brother-in-law, was apprehended by Nirmal Nagar Police on Friday.
The case came to light when the girl informed her parents about the assault, revealing that the incident left her with an injury on her private parts. Authorities swiftly registered a case against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused has been remanded to police custody until March 20, and further investigations are ongoing.
