Greater Noida Schools Get Bomb Threats, Some Send Students Home As Bomb Squads Begin Search
These schools in Greater Noida received bomb threats via e-mail on Tuesday (February 5). They intimated the police who sent officials and bomb squads to ascertain if there were bombs. Some of the schools sent students home as the search began.

Several schools in Greater Noida sent students home after receiving bomb threat on Tuesday (February 5). Reports in local media said that the bomb threats were sent on e-mails following which the schools intimated the police who quickly reacted by sending bomb squads. By the time of filing of this story, no explosives were detected in any of school but police and local authorities were carrying out search to eliminate all possibilities. Some schools even resumed normal classes, said reports in media.
Mayoor School, Gyanshree School, Heritage School and Step-By-Step School were among the schools who received bomb threats, said media reports.
Mayoor school sent a message to parents in the morning soon after the threat was received.
"we have initiated a precautionary evacuation of all students. Currently, students, staff, and visitors are safely gathered on the field," said that message as reported by India Today.
"We will be dispersing students via school buses. We will provide an update once the verification process is complete and all necessary protocols have been followed," said the message further.
Along with efforts aimed at detection of the said bombs, the police have now begun tracing the origin of threat e-mail.

The threats were found to be hoaxes.
There was no immediate official statement from Noida Police about Tuesday's bomb threats.
