Lucknow: Industrialist Gautam Adani visited the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow on Thursday, where he addressed management students, encouraging them to move beyond textbook knowledge and adopt risk-taking approaches to shape the future. Speaking at a closed door session, Adani outlined how future business success would depend not on conventional frameworks but on imagination, conviction, and the ability to enter new sectors before markets are fully ready.

Referring to projects like Dharavi redevelopment and overseas ventures in Australia, Adani highlighted the role of early risk-taking in business leadership. He described such ventures as acts of reimagining the world rather than merely operating within existing parameters.

Adani forecast that India could emerge as a $25 trillion economy by 2050, positioning itself as a new gravitational center of the global economy. While presenting this vision, he emphasized four driving forces: demographics, demand, digital infrastructure, and domestic capital. He cited platforms like Aadhaar, UPI, and ONDC as examples of digital scale and innovation.

During his visit, heavy security was in place around the IIM campus, with a convoy including emergency vehicles. The event was not open to the media, and information was shared later via institutional release. While speculative reports suggested a possible meeting with the CM, there was no official confirmation.

Adani’s remarks steered clear of political themes, focusing instead on encouraging students to challenge conventional limits and explore uncharted territories in business and development.
