Shiv Sena-UBT leader Sanjay Raut reiterated the Opposition's demand for a special Parliament session to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor during a press conference after the INDIA Bloc's meeting in Delhi on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Raut said, “The main opposition parties have signed the letter that we have sent to PM Modi. It’s not an ordinary letter. The opposition parties are the voice of the people. If we hold a special session on what happened in Pahalgam, the country’s prestige will remain intact, and citizens will get answers.”

Taking a jibe at the Centre, Raut added, “If they can announce a ceasefire at President Trump’s behest, then they can also convene a special session at the Opposition’s request. Do we need to go to President Trump for this?”

After the meeting, Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda told news agency ANI, “Sixteen opposition parties have written to PM Modi, urging him to call a special Parliament session so that all parties can express gratitude to our armed forces. From Pahalgam to Operation Sindoor, from America’s ceasefire announcement to delegations visiting other countries, we must discuss these issues in Parliament.”

He added, “We should also deliberate on eradicating terrorism and formulating future strategies in Parliament. When the Government of India presents its stance to the world, it should do the same in Parliament as well.”
