Delhi Cabinet Full List: Rekha Gupta To Take Oath As CM; Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Sirsa, Kapil Mishra & 3 Others To Be In Council Of Ministers

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA-elect Rekha Gupta will take oath as the Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on Thursday, February 20. Gupta will have six ministers in her cabinet.
President Droupadi Murmu has appointed the CM and her six ministers. A gazette notification was issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday. It stated that the appointments would be effective from the date they are sworn in.

Gupta, a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, will be sworn in as Delhi's fourth woman chief minister at a mega event at Ramlila Ground. "The President is pleased to appoint Mrs. Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister, National Capital Territory of Delhi with effect from the date she is sworn in," reads the notification signed by Praveen Kumar Rai, joint secretary. The notification mentions the names of six MLAs who will be sworn in as ministers.
Verma won from the he New Delhi constituency by defeating AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Sood bagged the Janakpuri constituency, Sirsa won from from the Rajouri Garden seat, Indraj won from Bawana, Kapil Mishra bagged the Karawal Nagar seat and Pankaj Kumar Singh won from the Vikaspuri constituency.
The grand oath-taking ceremony of the new Delhi Chief and ministers will take place around noon at the Ramlila Maidan where a large number of people are expected to participate. The swearing-in ceremony will be a high-profile event, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet, and Chief Ministers from various states in attendance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda are among the top leaders who will attend the ceremony.
Notably, the saffron party returned to power in Delhi after 27 years.
In the recently concluded, Delhi Assembly Elections, the BJP bagged 48 seats, while the remaining 22 seats were won by the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
