Delhi: Burqa-Clad Man Pushes 19-Yr-Old Woman, Who Tied Him Rakhi, To Death From 5th Floor For Refusing Marriage Proposal (VIDEO)

New Delhi, June 23: In a shocking incident, a young woman was brutally killed by a man for refusing to marry him in Delhi's Jyoti Nagar area. The man reportedly barged into her house wearing a burqa and pushed the woman from the fifth floor of the building after attacking her. The woman died after falling from the building.

Details About The Incident

According to the police and the victim’s family, the accused who has been identified as Taufiq had known victim Neha and her family for about three years. He was once considered close to them and Neha used to tie him a rakhi.

On the day of the incident, Neha had gone to the terrace to check the water tank. Her father said that Taufiq had already reached the terrace secretly, wearing a burqa to hide his identity. There, he confronted Neha and began arguing with her. When Neha did not come back downstairs for a long time, her father went up to the terrace and saw a terrifying scene, where Taufiq was allegedly trying to strangle Neha.

When the father tried to stop him, Taufiq pushed both of them and ran away. Tragically, Neha was pushed from the fifth floor. She was immediately rushed to GTB Hospital, where she died due to her injuries.

Harassment and Pressure

Neha’s mother revealed that Taufiq had been harassing their family for the last three months. He was pressuring them to let him be in a relationship with Neha, even though she did not want to be in touch with him anymore. He had also threatened the family several times.

The family said that Taufiq had become aggressive recently. He would argue, threaten and even try to force Neha to talk to him. On the day of the incident, he not only assaulted Neha but also physically attacked her father before pushing Neha off the roof.

Police Action

The accused, Taufiq, is said to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. After the crime, he fled the spot and is currently on the run. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation and are conducting raids to find and arrest him.

The family is demanding strict punishment, saying that Taufiq not only attacked their daughter but also betrayed their trust after years of friendship. They say he beat Neha badly before throwing her off the building.
