Chhattisgarh: Two Hardcore Naxals Killed In Encounter Near Kondagaon-Narayanpur Border
Bastar Inspector General (IG) of Police, Sundarraj P. said, "Two hardcore Naxals were killed in an encounter at the Kondagaon-Narayanpur border. AK-47 and two bodies were recovered. Search operations underway."

In a major success for security forces, two dreaded Naxalites were gunned down in an encounter late Tuesday evening in the Kilam-Bargum forest located on the Kondagaon-Narayanpur border.
According to Kondagaon Superintendent of Police Akshay Kumar, the operation was launched based on intelligence inputs about the presence of Maoists in the area. A joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Bastar Fighters launched the campaign, which resulted in a fierce exchange of fire.

The encounter led to the killing of Eastern Bastar DVCM Commander Haldar, carrying a reward of ₹8 lakh, and ACM Rame, with a reward of ₹5 lakh. A total of ₹13 lakh in rewards was declared on the two Maoists.
Security personnel recovered an AK-47 rifle, explosives, and various Naxalite materials from the site of the encounter. The operation marks a significant blow to Maoist activities in the region.
