Chhattisgarh: 39-Year-Old Bihar Youth Shot Dead By Sand Mafia Member In Sarangarh Dispute
In a tragic incident in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district of Chhattisgarh, a youth from Bihar was shot and killed by a member of the sand mafia over a minor dispute. The victim, identified as Mukhlal Manjhi, 39, was a resident of Hajipur, Bihar.

Raipur/ Sarangarh: In a tragic incident in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district of Chhattisgarh, a youth from Bihar was shot and killed by a member of the sand mafia over a minor dispute. The victim, identified as Mukhlal Manjhi, 39, was a resident of Hajipur, Bihar.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Sarangarh police station. According to reports, Mukhlal Manjhi worked at Surya Bakery in Ranisagar. On the night of February 13, he and his staff were burning plastic in front of the bakery when Krishna Rajput and his friends intervened, objecting to the practice.
This led to a heated argument, which escalated into violence. In a fit of rage, Rajput shot Manjhi at the scene. During the altercation, one of Manjhi's friends also sustained injuries.
Authorities recovered a used cartridge from the scene, and a forensic team has collected evidence for further investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nimisha Pandey informed the media that the murder took place in front of the bakery.
As of now, four suspects have been arrested, while the main accused, Krishna Rajput, who is also implicated in illegal sand mining activities, remains at large. Police are actively conducting raids to apprehend him.
