Proceedings of both Houses of Parliament--Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha--has been adjourned for the day following protests from Opposition leaders. The adjournment came as leaders demanded discussions on the Adani controversy.

Session was adjourned earlier in the day
Earlier in the day, both Houses were adjourned until 2 pm over the ruckus created by the Opposition leaders over the issue.
In the Lok Sabha, Opposition leaders rushed to the Well, sloganeering as soon as Speaker Om Birla began the Question Hour. Despite the Speaker's objection to kerfuffle, the sloganeering continued thence resulting in adjournment.

Congress chief and Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge said all opposition parties sought a joint parliamentary committee or Supreme Court-monitored probe into allegations againt the conglomerate.
Including Kharge, nine MPs had given notices under rule 276 seeking suspension of regular business to discuss Adani Group's stock route. However, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected the notices saying they weren't in order.
Infuriatd MPs then rose to protest and continually raised demands which also included the constitution of a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to probe the entire fiasco.
With the MPs not relenting, Dhankhar adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm.
