New Delhi: A shocking incident surfaced from Delhi, where a man robbed a woman at gunpoint in broad daylight. The incident reportedly took place at the Old Rajendra Nagar area. The crime was captured on CCTV installed in the area. The video of the incident also surfaced online.
In the video, the robber could be seen pointing a gun towards the woman. The miscreant also threatened the woman not to make noise. He took away the victim's purse and fled from the spot. The incident took place in a narrow lane of a residential area.
Notably, nobody was present at the spot when the man robbed the woman. It is still not clear whether the woman approached the police and lodged a case.
The incident raised questions about the safety of locals in the national capital territory.
A similar incident took place in Delhi in march this year, where an armed miscreant looted Rs. 80 lakh from a businessman from Lahori Gate area in broad daylight in Delhi. The incident took place at Haveli Haider Kuli in the Chandni Chowk area of the national capital territory.
Last year in September, three armed robbers targeted a shop at New Seelampur Market in northeast Delhi, looting Rs 12,000 in cash at gunpoint. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the shop.
