Agra (Uttar Pradesh), April 21: A shocking incident of road rage and misuse of power was caught on CCTV in Uttar Pradesh's Agra. The incident reportedly occurred at the TDI Mall crossing on Fatehabad Road, where an SUV with a "City President" sticker linked to a BJP leader broke a red traffic signal and crashed into another car.
The video shows that after the crash, the BJP leader’s gunman and associates reportedly got out of the car and beat up the other car’s owner on the middle of the road. According to reports, they also took the keys of the victim’s car and misbehaved with him in public. There are reports that the incident occurred on Sunday (April 20).
The entire incident was captured on CCTV and is now viral on social media. The video shows the Innova SUV breaking the red light and crashing into a car taking a U-turn from the opposite direction. After the accident, the men from the Innova are seen surrounding and assaulting the car owner.
The BJP leader himself was in the Innova. His men not only attacked the victim but also harassed him for nearly half an hour. Eventually, the leader threw the car keys on the road and fled the spot.
Police Action
The people present at the spot expressed anger at the police’s slow response. They claimed that even after being informed, police delayed taking action. The video is now widely circulated, which clearly shows the attack by the BJP leader and his associates.
There are no reports of any police action against the accused leader in connection with the matter. However, Agra Police Commissionerate replied to the video and said, "The Tajganj police station team is investigating and taking necessary action."
