Bihar: Cows Repeatedly Trample Elderly Man On Road; Shocking CCTV Footage Surfaces

Banka: In a terrifying incident caught on CCTV, an elderly man was attacked by two stray cows in Bihar's Banka district on Sunday, July 20. The incident took place in the Punisiya village, where the man, identified as a resident of Barahat, was reportedly walking towards English Turn when he was suddenly shoved by the animal.

According to a report by NDTV, a panic-stricken scene was caused in the locality after the cows trampled the man on the road, prompting the locals to intervene.

Locals Rushed to Help

The video, which has now gone viral on social media, shows the elderly man stepping off a motorbike moments before a cow charges at him. Knocked to the ground, he is then attacked by another cow. With both animals repeatedly trampling the man, passers-by can be seen rushing to the scene.

Despite their efforts to shoo the animals away using sticks and stones, the cows continued their assault. It took several minutes before villagers could finally pull the man away from the enraged animals.

However, the ordeal didn’t end there. As one of the rescuers attempted to help the elderly man, he too became a target. One cow lunged at him, reportedly climbing onto his chest.

Spike in Stray Cattle Alarm Residents

As per the report, the elderly victim was later rushed to a nearby hospital by the villagers. He remains under medical care, though the full extent of his injuries has not been officially confirmed. The second injured man is also believed to be under care.

Locals told NDTV India that the presence of stray cattle in the region has increased significantly in recent months. Several residents voiced their fear and frustration, urging authorities to take urgent action. “This could happen to anyone. We are scared to even walk outside,” one villager told the publication.

The residents have also appealed to the administration to control the growing menace of stray animals, warning that without intervention, such life-threatening incidents may occur again.
