Bengaluru Rains: City Braces For Wet Spell As IMD Predicts Light To Moderate Rainfall Until April 13
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall in the city and cloudy skies for Friday, April 11, 2025. The weather department has also predicted cloudy skies for today.

Bengaluru: The Silicon Valley of India is set to witness light to moderate rainfall on Friday, April 11, 2025. The city woke up at 06:10 AM with a partly cloudy sky this morning, and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 23 degrees Celsius in the morning and 32 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06:32 PM. The humidity is expected to be around 66 per cent. The wind is expected to blow from the West at 11 km/h. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted rainfall for several districts until April 13, 2025.
Rainfall is predicted in these regions
The state had been experiencing rising temperatures over the past few weeks. From today, the city is expected to experience pleasant weather conditions as light to moderate rainfall is predicted. The weather department has issued a yellow alert in these regions, including Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bagalkote, Dharwad, Koppal, Vijayapura, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagluru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Hassan, Mysuru, Tumakuru, and Kodagu, among others.
IMD issued a yellow alert in these regions
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for the next five days on X and wrote, "Thunderstorm, lightning is likely across the state today & tomorrow, scattered moderate rain over coastal, hilly and south interior districts. Moderate rain with scattered showers is likely over North Interior districts." Rainfall is likely in these regions, and it is expected to be accompanied by squalls, thunderstorms, and lightning.

Residents of the city will continue to experience cloudy skies on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively. Moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted for Saturday, and the weather department has issued a yellow alert in coastal regions and South Interior Karnataka.
