Bengaluru: The Garden City is set to experience light to moderate rainfall on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The city woke up at 05: 55 AM with cloudy skies this morning, and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 23 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06:38 PM. The humidity is expected to be around 76 per cent. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in coastal areas, such as North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered to widespread moderate rain and isolated heavy rain with thunder and lightning are likely across the state today, with scattered moderate rain expected in the remaining days."
Rainfall is expected till May 15
The weather department predicted that rainfall is likely to occur in the city till May 15, and it will be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. There are also chances of gusty winds, ranging from 30 km/h to 40 km/h. There can be sudden changes in weather, particularly during the late afternoon and evening hours. The residents should stay vigilant and be prepared for sudden weather changes. The wind is expected to blow at a speed of 30-40 km/h in the upcoming days.
When are Bengaluruians experiencing rainfall?
The Southwest monsoon session is expected to advance into the South Andaman Sea and parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal, which is influencing rainfall and activities related to it, like thunderstorms and lightning. The monsoon is also likely to progress into some areas of the Maldives, the Comorin area, and the central Bay of Bengal.
