The incident occurred on May 19 at NMH layout in Sidedahalli in north Bengaluru, police said. The 44-year-old woman who sustained injuries over her head and face is now stated to be out of danger. She is recuperating at a hospital here.

Bengaluru: A shocking incident surfaced from Karnataka's capital Bengaluru, where a drunk man allegedly poured toilet cleaner acid on his wife after a heated argument between them over a trivial issue. The incident took place at NMH layout in Sidedahalli in north Bengaluru on May 19.
The argument broke out between the couple over the volume of music playing on his mobile phone, reported PTI. The woman is a beautician by profession. As per the police, the accused asked her for money to buy liquor. However, when she refused to give him money, he started harassing her. He finally managed to get the money.
Later in the day, he came home drunk and started playing songs on his mobile phone at high volume. When the woman requested her to slow down the volume, he refused to do so. It led to an argument between the two.
The man then brought a bottle of toilet acid cleaner from the bathroom and allegedly poured it over her head and face. The 44-year-old woman cried for help. Neighbours rushed to the couple's house after hearing the woman's screams. She was then taken to a hospital. However, the accused fled from the spot.
