'Beaten, Left With Bite Marks On Body': Noida Maid Brutally Assaults 15-Month-Old Girl At Day Care; Arrested After Disturbing CCTV Footage Goes Viral

Noida (Uttar Pradesh): A 15-month-old girl was allegedly beaten by a maid at a day care centre recently in Noida. The incident, captured on CCTV, showed that the maid kept hitting the baby and also dropping it on the floor, despite the toddler crying. The maid was arrested on Sunday following a police complaint by the child’s parents.

The incident reportedly took place on August 4 when the toddler’s mother brought her home from the facility and found her crying inconsolably. While changing her clothes, the mother noticed circular marks on both of her thighs. Concerned, she took her to a doctor, who confirmed that the marks were consistent with human bite marks.

CCTV Video Shows Shocking Assault By Day Care Maid

The parents later reviewed the day care’s CCTV footage, which revealed the shocking scenes of the abuse. In the video, the maid can be seen carrying the crying child and initially attempting to pacify her. However, when the girl continued crying, the maid shut the room door, dropped the toddler to the floor, slapped her, bit her and even struck her with a plastic bat.

According to an India Today report, the parents have also accused the head of the day care of negligence and misconduct. They alleged that despite the child’s distress, the head made no attempt to protect or comfort her. Instead, they claim both the maid and the day care head responded with abusive language and threats when confronted about the assault.

Accused Maid Arrested, Case Filed

The matter was reported to the Sector-142 police station, where a case was registered under relevant sections of the law. The child was subjected to a medical examination to document her injuries. Police confirmed that the accused maid had been taken into custody.

“A case has been registered under the relevant sections based on the complaint. The accused maid has been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are underway,” a police official confirmed, according to the report.
