AP Shocker: Jilted Lover Attacks Woman With Acid In Madanapalle On Valentine's Day
The victim, who sustained al least seven stab wounds and acid burns, was initially given local medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital in Bengaluru for advanced care.

In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old man named Ganesh allegedly attacked his former girlfriend with a knife and acid after she ended their relationship and got engaged to someone else. The incident occurred around 7 AM on Friday at Perampalli village in Gurramkonda mandal.
According to District Superintendent of Police B Krishna Rao, the 22-year-old victim had invited Ganesh to her home for a conversation while her parents were away tending to cattle. The meeting escalated into an argument, during which Ganesh reportedly stabbed her multiple times and doused her with bathroom cleaning acid.
The victim, who sustained approximately seven stab wounds and acid burns, was initially given local medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital in Bengaluru for advanced care. The suspect has fled the scene, and police teams have been deployed to apprehend him.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has strongly condemned the attack and instructed officials to take severe action against the perpetrator. Through an official statement, he assured that the government would support the victim and her family, and directed authorities to ensure she receives proper medical treatment.
YSRCP, the opposition party in the state has targeted the TDP government over the incident.
In an X post, YSRCP stated, "In Annamayya district, Kadiri MLA Venkat Prasad's close aide Murali's son, Ganesh, carried out an acid attack on a young woman. The accused, Ganesh, a TDP worker, attacked Gautami, who runs a beauty parlor, with acid. Ganesh's father, Murali, has strong ties with TDP leaders. As a result, TDP leaders are making every effort to reach a compromise. Shamelessly defending a criminal who threw acid on a young woman—@ncbn, Home Minister Aniths, Pawan Kalyan?"
