Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed with a sharp object at his Bandra residence in the wee hours of Thursday (January 16) during a robbery bid. He sustained multiple injuries and is currently admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent a surgery.
Saif was with his sons -- Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir -- when a burglar intruded his residence. However, it looks like his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, was with her sister Karisma Kapoor and friends Rhea Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.
On Instagram, Karisma had shared a picture around 12 am on Thursday in which she gave a glimpse of their 'girls' night'. It had four glasses of drinks, however, it is not known whose house they were spending time at.
Kareena re-shared the picture on her Instagram story around 2 am. It may be mentioned that Saif was attacked at 2:30 am. According to India Today, Kareena rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 4:30 am. Several reports have also mentioned that Kareena was at home when the attack took place.

Mumbai Police's Crime Branch officials arrived at the location to investigate the matter.
The attack took place at Satguru Sharan building, where Saif resides with his family members. Media reports have also stated that the robber first confronted Saif's maid and when the actor intervened to defuse the situation, the intruder became aggressive, resulting in a scuffle.
A message from Saif's PR team confirmed the incident, and said that it was an attempted burglary. Their official note read, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif was last seen in Devara Part 1, an action-packed film which released in September 2024, also featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
He is set to star in the highly anticipated heist thriller Jewel Thief - The Red Sun Chapter, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat.
