'We Will Come Back & Finish The Job': Preity Zinta Breaks Silence On Punjab Kings' Heartbreaking IPL 2025 Loss, Hails 'Sarpanch' Shreyas Iyer
Actress Preity Zinta finally addressed her team Punjab Kings' heartbreaking loss in the IPL 2025 final with a touching note on Friday. She hailed her team and its 'sarpanch', captain Shreyas Iyer, and promised, "We will come back to finish the job cuz as of now the job is still half done (sic)." PBKS lost to RCB by 6 runs.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta finally addressed her team Punjab Kings' heartbreaking loss in the IPL 2025 final with a touching note on Friday. She hailed her team and its 'sarpanch', captain Shreyas Iyer, and promised fans that they will return to "finish the job".
Preity took to her Instagram to share a picture comprising all players of PBKS and wrote, "It didn’t end the way we wanted it to but….the journey was spectacular ! It was exciting, entertaining & it was inspiring. I loved the fight & the grit our young team, our shers showed through out the tournament. I loved the way our captain, our Sarpanch lead from the front & how Indian uncapped players dominated this IPL! (sic)."
Listing the ups and downs her team faced this year during the IPL season, Preity wrote, "This year was unique. We smashed records even though we lost key players to injury & national duty, witnessed a pause in the tournament, transferred home games to other states & evacuated a stadium ! We adapted & topped the points table after a decade & fought till the end in an exciting final (sic)."
"I am so proud of each n every player of Punjab Kings for showing so much character throughout the tournament. A big thank you to each of them and to our support staff and everyone at PBKS for an incredible season (sic)," she added.
Thanking all the fans who supported the team, she concluded, "Most of all a HEARTFELT THANK YOU 🙏 to our - SHER SQUAD - our FANS that stood with us through thick n thin. Whatever we are & how far we have reached is all because of you ❤️I promise we will come back to finish the job cuz as of now the job is still half done. Punjab Kings played the IPL 2025 final match against Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and both the teams were poised to win their first-ever IPL trophy. PBKS lost the match to RCB by a mere 6 runs at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
