War 2 Poster
Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR starrer War 2 is slated to release on August 14, 2025. The advance booking of the film started on August 10, but the collection is not what we expected. The film is just a day away from its release, and till now, the movie has only collected Rs. 12.94 crore gross without block seats, and with block seats, the advance booking for the first day is Rs. 23.34 crore gross.
War 2 clearly needs to show a jump today (Wednesday) to end the advance booking on a good note, or else the first day collection will solely depend on the on-the-spot booking. In 2019, War on its day one had collected Rs. 53.35 crore (all languages). So, War 2 surely needs to take a better opening than its first instalment.

Also, the Ayan Mukerji's directorial stars Tollywood star Jr NTR in the lead role, so the film should do a better collection in the Telugu language. So, anything less than Rs. 60-65 crore on first day would be a disappointing number.
War 2 Vs Coolie Advance Booking
Meanwhile, Coolie in the advance booking has collected Rs. 29.82 crore without block seats, and with block seats the film has minted Rs. 39.12 crore. So, of course, the Rajinikanth starrer is expected to take a better opening than War 2.
Hrithik Roshan Talks About War 2
While talking about War 2, Hrithik said, “The love and appreciation and encouragement I got when I played Kabir in War reminded me of the love that I got in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, the love I got in Dhoom 2, in Krrish. And this time I’m coming back with Kabir, and it's such a joy to play that character that everyone loved so much. This time he's more intense and even more in a dilemma than he was—very, very emotional. So War 2, I think, is going to be something unmissable.”
