At the trailer launch event of the film, Sohum opened up about his journey of producing another film 6 years after Tumbbad. The actor revealed he faced money crunch and several rejections from many producers to make Crazxy. He said, "After Tumbbad, money get over, then again I had to work hard. You all might think that after Tumbbad every producer & every studio must have been ready to put in money in my film but it wasn’t like that. No one gave me money. I had to struggle a lot for Crazxy and got rejections from several production houses."
