Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency has hit the big screens today, and the movie is getting positive reviews. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) yesterday had sent a letter to the Chief Minister of Punjab, demanding a ban on the film's release in the state. Now, Kangana Ranaut has reacted to it.

After getting delayed multiple times, Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency has finally hit the big screens today. The movie is getting positive reviews from the critics, and even audience is loving it. However, it looks like the film is still facing a lot of hurdles.
Yesterday, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had written a letter to Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, asking him to ban the release of the film in the state. While the movie is not banned in Punjab, reportedly, in a few cities the screening of the film is being stopped.
Kangana Ranaut took to X to react on the situation. She posted, "This is complete harassment of art and the artist, from Punjab many cities are reporting that these people are not allowing Emergency to be screened. I have utmost respect for all religions and after studying and growing up in Chandigarh I have closely observed and followed Sikh religion. This is a complete lie and propaganda to tarnish my image and harm my film #Emergency."
Well, let's wait and watch whether Emergency will have a smooth screening in Punjab or not.
Emergency has been facing a lot of issues since the time it has been announced. Netizens were calling it a propaganda film, later Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had stopped the certification, and there were multiple delays in the release as well.
However, the positive thing for the movie is that it is being appreciated and Kangana's performance is being praised a lot. Free Press Journal's reviewer gave 3.5 and wrote, "Kangana Ranaut's Emergency is her cinematic win after her political win last year. Watch it as it showcases some really important events of our Indian history!"
Now, let's wait and watch whether the movie will be able to make a mark at the box office or not.
