Videos of the incident have now gone viral, leaving netizens amused as well as concerned. As Vijay took out a mega rally in Coimbatore on Saturday, a fan was seen climbing a tree and jumping straight on top of Vijay's vehicle, as he waved at the crowd from the sun-roof. The actor looked visibly shocked and taken aback by the intrusion, but he quickly regained his composure and put a party scarf around the fan's neck, asking him to disembark the roof of the vehicle safely.
And while the actor and his guards' focus was turned to the fan, another fan scaled the vehicle and climbed on its roof right in front of Vijay. He put a scarf around the politician's neck and waved at the crowd before Vijay's guards asked the two fans to get off the vehicle.
The actor too was seen making his way back inside the vehicle to control the situation, as the crowd around had gone berserk by then.
For those unversed, Vijay is currently gearing up for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, and he will reportedly contest independently, without forming any alliance with the AIADMK.
