SS Rajamouli Makes Surprise Cameo In Hideo Kojima's Video Game Death Stranding 2 Along With Son Karthikeya (VIDEO)

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli took his fans by surprise by making a cameo in the video game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, created by popular Japanese developer Hideo Kojima. His son Karthikeya also appeared alongside him as The Adventurer and Adventurer's son, respectively. The game is set to release on June 26 this year globally on PlayStation 5.

On March 14, Hideo Kojima released a trailer of Death Stranding 2: On the beach and said, "We have released the latest trailer for "DEATH STRANDING 2 ON THE BEACH. I edited it myself with the worldview, era, theme, story, characters, gameplay, music, the connection to the first game, and its evolution as a sequel in mind. I have incorporated various hints and puzzle pieces throughout. Please enjoy the time leading up to the release of the game by watching it many times and reflect and discuss it."

It all started in April this year when Hideo Kojima posted a picture of himself with a visual of S S Rajamouli and S S Karthikeya on a screen behind him on X. He wrote,"With director S.S. Rajamouli and his son and producer, S.S. Karthikeya."

Karthikeya quoted this tweet of Hideo Kojima and wrote, "Beyond excited for this."

Reportedly, SS Rajamouli and Hideo Kojima have been in talks since 2022, when Rajamouli visited Japan during the promotional tour of his global blockbuster RRR. During that trip, he had the opportunity to meet Kojima in person.

On the work front, SS Rajamouli is collaborating on an upcoming action-adventure film, tentatively titled SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
