Sitaare Zameen Par Review: 'What An Extraordinary Movie!', Riteish Deshmukh Praises Wife Genelia Deshmukh And Aamir Khan's Film

Sitaare Zameen Par starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles is all set to release on June 20, 2025. It is one of the most awaited films of the year, and the trailer has created a good pre-release buzz. Genelia's husband and actor, Riteish Deshmukh, has watched the movie, and he can't stop praising it.

In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, the Housefull 5 actor said, “I have seen it. What an extraordinary movie! I am proud of the film. I am proud of the way Aamir and Genelia have performed. I am also proud of the fact you need a lot of guts to make a film like this, on this subject."

According to Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has till now collected Rs. 1.60 crore without block seats, and Rs. 4.74 crore with block seats. The advance booking is strictly average, but the Aamir Khan starrer is not a film that we can expect to take a bumper opening at the box office. It is a film that will grow because of positive word of mouth.

However, with a star like Aamir Khan's name attached to it, we are expecting that the film will take a double-digit opening. If the opening is less than Rs. 10 crore, it will surely be disappointing.

Meanwhile, The Free Press Journal did a poll on X (Twitter), and asked netizens to predict the day one collection of the film. We gave them four options: Rs. 5-10 crore, Rs. 10-15 crore, Rs. 15-20 crore, and Rs. 20 crore plus. Well, the poll results are out, and 41.50% of people feel that the first day collection will be Rs. 20 crore plus.
