After much anticipation and hype, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is finally set to hit the silver screens on June 20, Friday. The Mr Perfectionist had promised his audience that he will keep the ticket rates nominal as the film will not release on OTT later, and with the advance bookings open now, we finally know the cheapest and most expensive ticket rate for Sitaare Zameen Par.

A little snooping around on BookMyShow revealed that the cheapest ticket for Sitaare Zameen Par has been priced for a meagre Rs 30, and that too, not just in single screen theatres but in several multiplexes as well. The Rs 130 tickets are available at Gaiety Galaxy, Maratha Mandir, Wonder Mall Thane, Mukta A2 Goregaon, among other theatres.

But on the other hand, the most expensive ticket for Sitaare Zameen Par has been priced at a whopping Rs 1,820 in Maison INOX, Jio World Plaza, but it includes a food and beverage coupon as well.

Aamir has been quite clear about the pricing strategy for Sitaare Zameen Par's tickets given the fact that he has already declared the film will never release on OTT, and the only way it could be watched is in theatres. With the low-priced tickets, the actor, who is also producing the film, aims to draw in the youth as well as families with their children.

Reportedly, Aamir turned down a lucrative deal of Rs 120 crore offered to him by Prime Video to release the film on the OTT platform post its theatrical release, but the actor declined. If reports are to be believed, he also turned down an offer from Netflix.

Aamir has also urged the audience to not indulge in the film's piracy, and has reportedly even hired teams to make sure that Sitaare Zameen Par does not get leaked online, thus making sure that the people have no option but to watch the film in theatres.

Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D'Souza and it has been directed by RS Prasanna.
