Siddharth Nigam Recalls Dhoom 3 Audition Call: 'Thought It Was Fake, Mumbai Bula Ke Bech Diya Toh...'
Actor Siddharth Nigam, who debuted as young Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3, initially thought his audition call was fake. He and his family were scared as they knew no one in Mumbai. The 24-year-old actor said, "Mumbai bula ke bech diya to dikkat ho jayegi." He had no idea who Shanoo Sharma or Yash Raj Films were.

Actor Siddharth Nigam, who made his Bollywood debut as a child actor playing Young Sahir/Samar — the younger version of Aamir Khan's character in the 2013 film Dhoom 3 — recently recalled how he initially thought the audition call he received was 'fake', as he had no idea what Yash Raj Films was or who casting director Shanoo Sharma was. Siddharth said that he and his family were scared when the audition call came in, since they didn’t know anyone in Mumbai where he was supposed to go.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Siddharth said, "We had nobody in Mumbai where they were calling us. Where will we go? I literally wondered if it was a fake call. I am a Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India audience. I thought Mumbai bula ke bech diya to dikkat ho jayegi (What if they call us to Mumbai and sell me off). I genuinely had no idea what Yash Raj Films is and who is Shanoo ma'am."

Further, he added that it was his brother, Abhishek Nigam, who eventually googled Yash Raj Films and Shanoo Sharma, only then realising the magnitude of the opportunity. "And they embraced me with open arms," Siddharth shared.
After Dhoom 3, Siddharth starred in the serial Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani in 2014, where he played the role of Young Rudra.
Later, Siddharth appeared in several popular television shows such as Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Peshwa Bajirao, and Chandra Nandini. He gained immense popularity for his role in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, where he starred opposite Avneet Kaur. Their chemistry even led to speculation that they were dating off-screen.
Recently, Siddharth was seen in Hai Junoon!, which premiered on May 16 on Jio+Hotstar.
The series also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sumedh Mudgalkar, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
