Kaanta Laga star Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday (June 27) evening at the age of 42 following a cardiac arrest at her residence in Mumbai. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, where doctors reportedly declared her dead on arrival. The latest developments surrounding Jariwala's death indicate that her sudden passing was likely due to medical reasons, with no signs of foul play.
Shefali had been undergoing anti-aging treatment for several years, and on the day of her demise, despite observing a fast for a religious ritual at home, she reportedly received her routine injection. This may have triggered the cardiac arrest that led to her death.

According to IANS, a source revealed that between 10 and 11 p.m. that evening, Shefali's health reportedly deteriorated rapidly, her body began trembling, and she lost consciousness. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
As part of the investigation, authorities have seized a variety of medications from Jariwala’s residence, including anti-aging vials, vitamin supplements, and pills prescribed for gastric care.
Police have recorded eight statements from individuals closely associated with her, including family members, domestic staff, and medical professionals involved in her treatment. It is being reported that the police have found no signs of dispute or foul play in the case.
Authorities are currently awaiting the postmortem report and laboratory analysis of the confiscated medications to determine the precise cause of Shefali's death.
Her last rites were performed on 28 June 2025 at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.
Shefali appeared in Bollywood, starring in the 2004 film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
