Sandhya Theatre Stampede: 8-Year-Old Injured At Pushpa 2 Premiere In Hyderabad Battles For Life On Ventilator, Cop Says He Is 'Brain Dead'
The son of the deceased woman, who was also a victim of the deadly Sandhya theatre stampede during the premiere of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad, is reportedly battling for his life and has now been put on ventilator support. Reports stated that the minor's neurological condition also has not been showing any signs of improvement.

The son of the deceased woman, who was also a victim of the deadly Sandhya theatre stampede during the premiere of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad, is reportedly battling for his life and has now been put on ventilator support. While a woman was trampled to death in the stampede, her son continues to be critical at a local hospital.
According to the health bulletin released by the KIMS Cuddles Hospital in Hyderabad, where the child is undergoing treatment, the eight-year-old is on ventilator support due to the extensive injuries he suffered in the stampede and his neurological condition also has not been showing any signs of improvement.
"His fever is reducing and on minimal inotropes, his vital parameters are stable. He is tolerating feeds well," the bulletin read.
The medical team treating the child also stated that doctors were considering a tracheostomy to aid him in breathing and get him off the ventilator. At present, he is on mechanical ventilation with minimal support of oxygen and pressures.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand, who also visited the hospital as part of the investigation in the stampede case, reportedly told the media that the child was "brain-dead".

For those unversed, the makers of Pushpa 2 organised a special premiere of the film at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4, and it was attended by actor Allu Arjun himself. As fans got a whiff of the actor's presence in the theatre, a massive stampede ensued, claiming the life of a woman named Revathy, while her 8-year-old son battles for his life.
Allu Arjun was booked for the stampede and was arrested on December 13 from his Hyderabad residence. While he was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a local court, the Telangana High Court granted him bail and he was released from jail the next day.
