Saif Ali Khan's Team Issues FIRST Statement After Attack On Actor At Mumbai House: 'There Was Attempted Burglary'
Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence on January 16, Thursday, when he got into a scuffle with an unidentified man who had entered his house as part of a robbery bid. His team has issued a statement which reads, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery."

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence in the wee hours of January 16, Thursday, when he got into a scuffle with an identified man who had entered his house. The actor is currently undergoing treatment at the Lilavati Hospital, and his team has now issued the first statement, updating his fans about his health.
"There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation," the statement from Saif's team read.
The incident took place when an unidentified man entered Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence, located in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra, around 2:30 am on Thursday, but he was stopped by the actor's staff. Saif intervened when an argument took place between the intruder and the staff and that is when he was stabbed multiple times.

According to the official statement released by Lilavati Hospital, the actor has sustained six injuries, two of which are deep. He has also sustained an injury close to his spine. He was taken to the hospital at 3:30 am and a team of doctors began his surgery at 5:30 am.
The actor is being operated upon by team of doctors led by neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain, and anaesthetiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi.
