Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited crime drama Animal, recently revealed that he has taken a break from acting for nearly six months. The actor interacted with his fans via Zoom call and revealed interesting details about his upcoming projects and personal life. According to media reports, Ranbir also mentioned during the online session that he has taken some time off from work to spend time with his 11-month-old daughter Raha.

While his wife, actress Alia Bhatt, will be busy with the shoot of her upcoming film Jigra, Ranbir will look after their daughter. He also said that he will not commit to any film after the release of Animal in December 2023.

Ranbir admitted that he did not spend much time with Raha in the initial months after her birth due to his work commitments. However, the actor stated that he will be at home for nearly six months.

Opening up about his daughter, Ranbir said that she has started to crawl and recognise people. He also said that Raha is trying to speak words like 'Paa' and 'Maa'.

Ranbir and Alia fell in love on the sets of their film Brahmastra. They dated each other for almost five years before tying the knot in April 2022. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family members in Mumbai. In November 2022, Alia and Ranbir welcomed their first child.

Ranbir's upcoming projects

Ranbir was last seen in Luv Ranjan's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar opposite Shraddha Kapoor.

He will next star in a never-seen-before avatar in Animal with Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. If reports are to be believed, he will essay the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan. However, he has not confirmed anything yet.
