With speculations still rife on filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming project KH234 starring Kamal Haasan, the casting is almost near completion as the final round of talks with Lady Superstar Nayanthara is underway.

Now, new developments suggest that if the deal is sealed, then the Jawan actress is likely to receive a whopping ₹12 crores as remuneration for the same. Nayanthara, who has been the leading lady across Southern film cinema for over two decades, had last hiked her fee during Jawan and Iraivan opposite Jayam Ravi, was earning ₹10 crores, making her the only leading actress down South receiving a double-digit fee.

As for KH234, there were reported talks of Samantha, Sai Pallavi and Trisha Krishnan being considered as the lead. But the coveted part seems to be falling in Nayan's kitty. What further enhances the actress' prospects is her wide appeal backed by impeccable acting credentials.

Given her career progression over the years, the actress' revised fee is currently six times more than what she had charged during her 2016 Telugu film Babu Bangaram opposite Venkatesh. Before signing Jawan and Iraivan, the actress was receiving ₹8 crores for her 2022 film Connect. On signing Jawan, Nayanthara created history becoming the highest paid actress, down South.

An official confirmation is awaited on the same.

Following the success of Jawan, Nayanthara has tasted nationwide popularity as the film marked her official debut in Hindi cinema. Playing the cop Narmada Rai, who is also a single mother, the actress shared some incredible chemistry with lead actor Shah Rukh Khan.

She will be next seen in Mannangatti Since 1960 alongside Yogi Babu and Test which also stars R. Madhavan, Siddharth and Meera Jasmine.
