'Planned To Kill Salman Khan First': Mumbai Cops Reveal Actor Was Bishnoi Gang's Primary Target, Not Baba Siddique
Over a month after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai, the crime branch has revealed that superstar Salman Khan was the original target of the Bishnoi gang. Crime branch officials stated that the shooters were instructed to assassinate Salman first, but their bid was foiled as they couldn't breach the actor's security.

Over a month after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai, the crime branch has revealed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was the original target and the topmost name on the hitlist. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi had claimed responsibility for the attack that killed Siddique.
According to reports, officials of the crime branch stated that the shooters were originally instructed to kill Salman. However, their plan was foiled due to the actor's tight security detail, and thus, they shifted their focus to Siddique.
Multiple rounds were shot at Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12 outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. Reportedly, Zeeshan too was on the hitlist, but he narrowly escaped as he left the venue only minutes before the planned attack.

Post the incident, Salman's security was beefed up and the actor has now been advised to not move around without his security at any cost. He was even seen tearing up as he attended Siddique's funeral, who was one of his closest friends in the city.
Zeeshan had later revealed that Salman was having sleepless nights post the incident and he even called and inquired about the bereaved family multiple times.
Despite Salman's elaborate security detail, his safety was compromised on November 4, Wednesday, after a man entered the venue in Matunga where the actor was shooting for his upcoming project and threatened his team using Bishnoi's name.
"Bishnoi ko bheju kya?" the man threatened, sending the actor's security team into a tizzy.
Meanwhile, Salman has not explicitly addressed the constant threats to his life from the Bishnoi gang yet, but during one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 18, he was seen telling the contestants that they had no idea what was happening in his life.
"Your issues are nothing compared to what's happening in my life. I don't want to come here and shoot. I don't want to step out of my house. But I have to do it because I have committed to other people. I have to fulfill my commitments," he had shared.
