Nirmal Kapoor Funeral: Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor & Other Family Members Arrive To Pay Last Respects In Mumbai

Actor Anil Kapoor's mother, Nirmal Kapoor, passed away at the age of 90 on Friday (May 2) in Mumbai. She breathed her last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Her funeral will take place on Saturday around 11:30 am at a crematorium in Vile Parle.

Several heartbreaking photos of the Kapoor family members, including Anil, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Jahaan Kapoor arriving to pay their last respects to Nirmal Kapoor have surfaced on social media.

Her mortal remains were brought to the crematorium in an ambulance adorned with flowers and garlands.

On Friday evening, besides the Kapoor family members, several celebrities like Ananya Panday, Javed Akhtar, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Shikhar Pahariya, Raveena Tandon, Rasha Thadani, Suhana Khan, and Veer Pahariya, visited Anil's residence to offer condolences.

Nirmal was the wife of the late film producer Surinder Kapoor and mother to four children -- Boney, Anil, Sanjay, and Reena Kapoor Marwah.

In September 2024, the entire Kapoor family had united to celebrate Nirmal Kapoor's 90th birthday. Khushi had even shared a photo on her Instagram handle, which featured herself, Anil Kapoor, Sunita Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, and other members of the family.

A couple of years back, Anil broke down on a reality show, remembering his childhood memories with his mother. He had shared how Nirmal Kapoor would sew him clothes using a hand-operated sewing machine, and how she had always been a pillar of support in the family.

He had also shared once how he disliked the fact that he could not spend much time with his mother due to his professional commitments. The 68-year-old actor used to also share photos with his mother on social media.
