Nirmal Kapoor Dies: Rani Mukerji, Javed Akhtar, Orry Reach Anil Kapoor's Residence To Pay Last Respects To His Mother (VIDEOS)

Nirmal Kapoor, the mother of Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, passed away in Mumbai on Friday (May 2), and celebs gathered at the Mr India actor's house to pay their last respects to her. Among the first ones to arrive at Anil's residence, besides the Kapoor family, were Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher and Javed Akhtar.

Nirmal Kapoor breathed her last at the age of 90 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in the city. Her mortal remains were brought to Anil's residence in Lokhandwala by the actor, along with Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor in an ambulance.

Rani Mukerji was seen rushing inside the residence wearing an all-white salwar suit, while Anupam Kher too reached the spot in a jiffy. Javed Akhtar, who happens to be a close friend of the Kapoors, also reached the house and extended his condolences. Jackie Shroff, Karan Johar, Orry, Veer Pahariya and Rima Jain also visited the bereaved family.

Anil, Arjun and Sanjay looked visibly grief-stricken as they brought the mortal remains of Nirmal Kapoor home. Her funeral will be held at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle on Saturday, at 11:30 am, the family informed in a statement.

Janhvi Kapoor, along with boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, was the first one from the family to reach Anil's residence. They were accompanied by Boney, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and others.

Boney was seen making the arrangements for the last rites and funeral at the residence, and the family requested the paparazzi to give them space in this time of grief.
