Bollywood actor Salman Khan's upcoming film Sikandar has found itself at the center of a heated discussion after its recently released poster drew comparisons to Jacqueline Fernandez's 2020 film Mrs Serial Killer. Several social media users have pointed out striking similarities between the two, accusing the makers of Sikandar of copying the older film's poster.

The Sikandar poster, unveiled by the film's team on February 18, features Salman in an intense look, seemingly deflecting an attack from a sharp object. His piercing gaze dominates the frame, set against a bold red backdrop.

However, keen-eyed netizens were quick to draw parallels with Mrs Serial Killer, in which Jacqueline is also seen holding a sharp object with intense emotions, also against a prominent red background.

Actor, former Bigg Boss contestant and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan (KRK) was also amongst those who shared posters of both the film on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Along with the posters, KRK wrote, "Both are good posters."

Reacting to KRK's post, several users have claimed that Bollywood continues to struggle with originality in promotional material. While some defended Sikandar, arguing that red is a common colour used in thriller and action posters, others slammed the makers for lacking creativity.

"Haa correct But Jacqueline wali film to Disaster thi," an X user wrote. Another commented, "Matlab kya din aa gaye ki Jacqueline ki copy wala poster lagana pad rha hai."

"Bollywood is now Copywood. It is proof," read another comment.

In December 2024, the makers dropped the teaser of the film, much to the delight of his fans. In the teaser, the actor can be seen going all guns blazing in a room full of masked men. His voice is heard saying, "Bahot log mere peeche pade hain, bas mere mudne ki der hai."

Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. This marks her first on-screen collaboration with Salman. The film has been directed by Ghajini fame AR Murugadoss, and is scheduled to hit the silver screens on the occasion of Eid 2025.
