Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly a couple of days ago, in an interview, requested the government to consider Television shows and actors for National Awards. The actress stated that there's a National Award for content creators, but not for TV. While fans of Rupali are supporting her, the actress is also getting trolled.

While talking to paparazzo Viral Bhayani's team about Smriti Irani's comeback, Rupali said, "It means a lot kyuki Television waalo ke liye koi National Award nahi hai. Toh agar Smriti Ji aaye toh ho sakta hai ki uss disha mai ek positive raasta mile. It will make a lot of difference. Aaj content creators ke liye National Award hai, films har regional cinema har kisi ke liye National Award hai lekin Television waalo ke liye nahi hai."
