Diljit Dosanjh Controversy

Diljit Dosanjh made it to the headlines a few weeks ago because of the controversy surrounding his film Sardaarji 3. The movie starred Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, and even though the makers decided not to release it in India, the actor faced a lot of backlash on social media. He was even banned by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees. But, later the ban was lifted because Bhushan Kumar, the producer of Border 2, requested the FWICE.

While talking to India Today, the president of FWICE, BN Tiwari, had said, "We have met Bhushan Kumar twice and he requested that since they have shot with Diljit’s portions in the film already, and they only have a song left to shoot with him. He said he is at a juncture where he can’t have Diljit leave the film, but in the future, he said that he won’t take anyone who is in the middle of a dispute.”

Sardaarji 3 Box Office Collection
