Malayalam Actor Mammootty's Team REACTS To Cancer Rumours, Reveals He Is On Break From Shoot For THIS Reason
Mammootty’s PR team has confirmed that rumours claiming he was diagnosed with colon cancer are false. On Sunday, Reddit rumours suggested the actor had taken a break for treatment. However, his PR team clarified, "He is on vacation for Ramzan fasting and a break from shooting. Afterward, he will resume filming Mahesh Narayanan’s movie with Mohanlal."

On Sunday, there were rumours on Reddit claiming that Malayalam actor Mammootty had been diagnosed with colon cancer and that he had taken a break from work commitments for to seek treatment. However, the megastar's PR team has confirmed that he is in good health and has slammed the 'fake' news.
"It is fake news. He is on vacation because he is fasting for Ramzan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well because of that. In fact, after the break he will go back to shooting for Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal," actor's PR team told Mid-Day.

Meanwhile, the first schedule of Mahesh Narayanan's film starring Mammootty and Mohanlal kicked off in Sri Lanka. The production spans multiple locations, including Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi and Kochi, over a 150-day schedule.
It also stars Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, and Kunchacko Boban in key roles. Tentatively titled MMMN (Mammootty, Mohanlal, Mahesh Narayanan).
Earlier, there were rumours suggesting that Mohanlal would only have a cameo in the film. However, Mahesh Narayanan denied the speculations, and told The Hollywood Reporter India, "All the actors have solid characters with lots of material to perform. Lal sir is going to appear in a full-fledged role."
On the work front, Mammootty will next appear in the action thriller Bazooka, marking Deeno Dennis' directorial debut. The film also features Gautham Vasudev Menon in the lead role. It is scheduled to release on April 10, 2025
