Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Report Day 1: Ashwin Kumar's Animated Film Has A Promising Start With ₹2.29 Crore, Hindi Version Leads

Director Ashwin Kumar's mythological animated action drama Mahavatar Narsimha opened to a decent start at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 2.29 crore on its first day across five languages. The film, backed by Hombale Films, has found its strongest audience in the Hindi-speaking belt, where it earned an impressive Rs 1.51 crore alone on the first day of its release, Friday (July 25).

Hindi: Rs 1.51 crore

Telugu: Rs 38 lakh

Kannada: Rs 7 lakh

Malayalam: Rs 3 lakh

Tamil: Rs 2 lakh

Presented by Hombale Films, the studio behind hits like Kantara, KGF, and Salaar, Mahavatar Narsimha is expected to gain momentum over the weekend, with word-of-mouth likely to drive family audiences to theatres.

Mahavatar Narsimha narrates the powerful tale of the mythological avatar of Lord Vishnu, who emerges to end the tyranny of demon king Hiranyakashyap and protect his devout follower, Prahlad.
