Ashwin Kumar's animated feature Mahavatar Narsimha has continued its strong run at the box office, crossing the Rs 50 crore India nett mark in just eight days. The film, which has surprised many with its exceptional performance, earned around Rs 7.70 crore on Friday (August 1) for all languages, taking its total India nett collection to Rs 52.45 crore.
The film's India gross total now stands at whopping Rs 62.40 crore.
Opening modestly at Rs 2.29 crore on Day 1, Mahavatar Narsimha has witnessed consistent growth throughout its first week, driven by strong word-of-mouth and family audiences.

With an overall 42.03 per cent Telugu occupancy and 30.20 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday, the film has continued to draw viewers across linguistic markets.

While the film is poised to add significantly to its box office total, it will face new competition starting this weekend with the release of Son of Sardaar 2 starring Ajay Devgn and Dhadak 2, a romantic drama featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.
