Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows that we have watched in the history of Indian television. The Ektaa Kapoor’s show, which aired on Star Plus at 10:30 pm, ruled the TRP charts for eight years. The show started in 2000 and ended in 2008. Mihir and Tulsi had become everyone’s favourite characters, and it was originally played by Amar Upadhyay and Smriti Irani (who later joined politics). Now, here’s an exciting news for all the fans of the show. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Ektaa is planning to reprise Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and the OG Mihir and Tulsi, Amar and Smriti will be seen as leads.
The portal has reported that it will be a limited series, and the work on it is going on in full-swing. Smriti Irani has reportedly started working out to reprise the character of Tulsi. Well, the makers are planning to shoot the opening shot in the same way as it was in the original where Tulsi introduces to her family members.
Amar Left Doree For Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi?
Amar Upadhyay was a part of a show called Doree, but reportedly, he left the show due to issues with the makers. However, the portal has reported that he left the on-going Colors channel’s show due to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 Release Date?
According to the report, Ektaa plans to make an official announcement about the show in June 2025. Interestingly, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi started in July 2000. So, we wonder if it will return to TV exactly 25 years later in July 2025.
Smriti Irani's Acting Comeback
If the report turns out to be true, the show will mark Smriti's acting comeback. She was serving as Minister of Women and Child Development from 2019 to 2024.
