Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, August 17 Written Update: Newlywed Pari Struggles, Wonders If Marrying Ajay Was Right Decision

The episode begins with Pari and Ajay performing their post-wedding rituals as newlyweds. Indira and Naveen receive several calls from friends asking about Viren's arrest. Pari's brother expresses concern about her behaviour. Hrithik shares his worries with Angad about how she might behave in her new family, stating that while everyone is concerned about Indira, they should actually be worried about Pari as a daughter-in-law, since she is a secretive person.

In her new room, Pari appears tense, rethinking her decision to marry and questioning how she will handle married life with Ajay. Ajay enters and sweetly tells her that he is tired but will take care of her, assuring that he won't repeat the mistakes that happened with his sister. As he moves his hand toward Pari, she flicks it away, leaving Ajay confused and shocked. She excuses her action by saying she is tired and wants to sleep, making it clear that he shouldn’t expect anything from her.

Ajay then asks Pari what she would like as a gift since it’s their first night. Pari misunderstands him, thinking he only wants to get close to her, and tells him that she is not like his sister to tolerate such things. Hurt, Ajay walks out of the room. Later, Pari reflects inwardly, acknowledging that she made an excuse to fight with him as a way to get close, but wonders for how long, admitting that she is not yet ready for him.

The next day, Noina calls Tulsi and invites her over for dinner, mentioning that she has also invited Ajay and his family. Meanwhile, Mihir tells Hrithik and Angad that they will now have to take on more responsibilities and asks Vallabh Bhai to train them, as the business is expanding.

Tulsi, Mihir, and Nandini head to Noina’s house for dinner. Tulsi seems worried, sharing that she has been trying to contact Pari all morning but has been unable to reach her, noting that Pari keeps disconnecting her phone every two minutes. Mihir tells Tulsi that Viren’s arrest should have ideally happened after the wedding. Nandini comforts Tulsi further, reminding her that Pari, as the new daughter-in-law, must be busy settling into her new home.

Meanwhile, Malti accidentally throws dirty water, used by her daughter-in-law to sweep the floor, on Angad, who had come to distribute sweets to her family on the occasion of Pari’s wedding. This leads to an argument between Angad and Malti. Later, Angad distributes the sweets and leaves after insulting Vrinda’s entire family, causing Vrinda to call him rude, while Tulsi remains kind and polite.
