Koffee With Karan 8: Ranveer Singh Reveals A 'Crab' Played Cupid In Deepika Padukone & His Love Story

Bollywood's favourite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, graced the sensational couch of Koffee With Karan 8 and spilled some of the hottest beans on the show, including how their love story began in the first place.

Ranveer revealed that not a person or a film, but it was a meagre crab at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's place that played cupid between the two.

The actor also remembered the first time Deepika walked in for the reading session of Ram Leela, and how he was completely swept away and knew she was the one for him.

Ranveer recalls first meeting with Deepika

During the episode, Ranveer recalled that it was Kareena Kapoor Khan who was supposed to star opposite him in Ram Leela, and it was when she backed out, that Deepika came on board after the success of Cocktail.

He shared that as soon as she arrived at Bhansali's place, the doors opened and the wind blew at the same time, and the actress walked in wearing a pristine white kurta, and the entire moment felt straight out a Bollywood film.

Ranveer then went on to say that while the entire team was having lunch at Bhansali's place, Deepika and him were sitting next to each other and in a bid to corner her, he pointed out that there was a piece of crab stuck in her teeth.

However, instead of being embarrassed about it, Deepika went on to casually ask him to take it off and clean it away, leaving Ranveer stumped.

"I took the crumb off and got his 440 volt current passing through me. That was it, that was the moment," he revealed.

During the episode of Koffee With Karan 8, Deepika and Ranveer also shared their wedding video with the world for the first time since they got married five years ago.

The video gave a glimpse of several unseen moments from their wedding, and Ranveer even revealed that it was back in 2015 when he had proposed marriage to her on a secluded island in the Maldives.
