‘Kindly Remain Cautious’: Kamal Haasan’s Daughter Aksharaa Haasan Warns Film Fraternity Members About A Scammer
Thug Life actor Kamal Haasan's daughter, Aksharaa Haasan, on Thursday (June 5, 2025), posted a note on Instagram warning film fraternity members about a scammer who is using her and her family's name, claiming that they are producing certain projects. Aksharaa wrote, "We are taking the necessary legal steps. Kindly remain cautious and do not engage with or encourage him in any way."

While Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life released on Thursday (June 5, 2025), his younger daughter Aksharaa Haasan took to Instagram to warn film fraternity members about a scammer who is using her and her family’s name, claiming that they are producing certain projects and have an office in Ooty.
The actress shared a note which read, “To My Fellow Fraternity Members. Please be informed that a person named Ibrahim Akhtar is falsely using my name and my family’s name, claiming we are involved in producing projects and operating from an office in Ooty. These claims are entirely untrue, and we have no association with him (sic).”
Aksharaa further wrote that they are taking legal action against him. The note further read, “We are taking the necessary steps to address this matter. We are taking the necessary legal steps to address this issue. Kindly remain cautious and do not engage with or encourage him in any way. Thank you for your attention and continued support (sic).”
Aksharaa Haasan Upcoming Projects
Aksharaa, who made her debut with R Balki’s Shamitabh (2015), has failed to make a mark like her parents and sister. She was last seen in the 2022 release Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu (Tamil). She has a movie titled Agni Siragugal, which has been awaiting release for the past few years.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life has received negative reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The Free Press Journal reviewer gave 2 stars to the film and wrote, “Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life is a movie with an outdated concept. It is predictable and very long. If you are a die-hard fan of Haasan, then you can give it a try. Others can skip it.”
