‘Hum Sab Bikhar Gaye Hai’: Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain Actresses Shubhangi Atre & Saumya Tandon Remember Late Writer Manoj Santoshi (Watch)
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actresses, Shubhangi Atre and Saumya Tandon, recently at an event in Mumbai, spoke about the show's writer, Manoj Santoshi's demise. Saumya said, "Manoj ji sirf Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain ke writer nahi the mere liye, woh mere bahot achche dost the." Meanwhile, Shubhangi stated, "Unki kami toh bahot khalne wali hai. Hum sab bikhar gaye hai. Bhagwan unki aatma ko shaanti de."

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain writer, Manoj Santoshi, passed away on March 23, 2025. He was admitted at a hospital in Secunderabad and was being treated for liver cancer. Shubhangi Atre, who currently plays the lead role in the show, and Saumya Tandon, who was earlier the lead actress of the show, recently spoke about Manoj Santoshi and his demise at an event in Mumbai.
While talking to the team of paparazzo, Viral Bhayani, Saumya said, “Manoj ji sirf Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain ke writer nahi the mere liye, woh mere bahot achche dost the. Show chhodne ke baad bhi hum log mehfilein kiya karte the mere ghar par. Woh itne talented the. Woh bimar the toh Hyderabad jaane se pehle meri unse baat hui thi, main unke ghar gayi thi. (Manoj ji was not just the writer of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, but he was a very good friend of mine. Even after I left the show, we used to have musical sessions at my house. He was very talented. When he was ill, before going to Hyderabad, he had met me, I had gone to his house).”
“Unhone mujhse bola ‘Bahot din hogaye mehfil nahi ki. Mujhe jaldi thik hona hai aur jaldi se aake mehfil karunga’. Mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha ke main unse kabhi bhi mil nahi paungi. Bahot taklif hoti hai, dukh hota hai. (He told me, ‘From the past many days we haven’t done our musical session. I want to get healthy again and then we will do it’. I still can’t believe that I won’t be able to meet him. I feel very sad),” she added.
Shubhangi Atre On Manoj Santoshi
Shubhangi, who portrays the role of Angoori Bhabhi in the show, stated, “Bahot hie dukh ke baat hai. Manoj ji aur hamare director Shashank Bali jo hai, woh dono hie show ke heart aur soul rahe hai. Jo Manoj ji mein baat thi, woh ab magic waise hoga ke nahi pata nahi, kyuke Manoj ji toh ek hie the. (It is very sad. Manoj ji and our director Shashank Bali have been the heart and soul of our show. The magic that Manoj ji had, I don’t know if will be recreated or not).”
She further added, “Unki kami toh bahot khalne wali hai. Hum sab bikhar gaye hai. Bhagwan unki aatma ko shaanti de. We will miss him for sure (His absence is going to be felt a lot. We are all scattered. May god rest his soul in peace).”
