'Hrithik Roshan Was Rushed To Hospital At 4 Am, I Had Bullet Hole On Back': Ameesha Patel On Their Injuries During Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai Shoot

Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan's Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai completed 25 years of its release on Tuesday (January 14). On the special occasion, Ameesha recalled a couple of 'scary' incidents during the shoot of the film which left both the lead actors injured. The actress also revealed that the shoot of the film was delayed by six months because of Hrithik's severe injury.

Ameesha said Hrithik was rushed to the hospital at 4 am after he injured his back during the shoot of the climax scene.

Recalling the challenges they faced while shooting the action-packed climax of Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, Ameesha told Hindustan Times, "While filming the climax scene, Hrithik did a jump and when he fell, we heard his back crack. We had to rush him to the hospital at 4 am and the shoot got postponed. We had to rebuild that set six months later, and the film got delayed by six months because of that one injury."

Ameesha recalled another near-accident involving a bullet during the shoot of another scene. "When we came back on set to reshoot the remaining portions of the climax, I got a bullet. I had the presence of mind and turned my face, otherwise that bullet shot would have been in my eye and I would have been blinded. I got the bullet to my back and I had a charred hole there. They rushed me in the night to the doctor. Oh! We've had quite a journey," she reportedly stated.

As Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai marked 25 years of its release, the makers decided to re-release it in theatres and it has created a frenzy among fans.

Ameesha recently visited a theatre in Juhu, Mumbai, to watch the film with actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. Several videos surfaced of the actress watching the film inside the theatre. In one of the videos, Ameesha started dancing and recreating the iconic hook step as the title track started playing.

Released in 2000, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai was directed by Rakesh Roshan. It also starred Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Mohnish Bahl, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Shah, Farida Jalal, Asha Patel, Rajesh Tandon, and Tannaz Irani.

The film marked both Hrithik and Ameesha's Bollywood debut.
